Queen’s Gambit just dropped on Netflix Malaysia.
I have a thing for movies about chess and I will be the first to admit that most of them are crap. Ironic, because one of my most favorite movies, Searching for Bobby Fischer, which is STILL NOT on Netflix Malaysia, is in fact a movie about chess.
One episode into this mini series, and I can confirm that Searching is in no danger of being unseated as the most awesome chess movie / shows ever.
Queen is about a recently orphaned young girl who while at an orphanage, with the help of the janitor, discovers that she has a talent at this ‘Royal Game’.
The first episode is slow but it’s picking up. I’m currently at episode 3 and am just praying, this series is not a waste of my quarantined time.
Finished watching it. It was good.
